I remove EVERYTHING in the edit profile section, and still I return to my profile and it's gray! I even deleted every comment from people on my page that had an html code like say a video. STILL GRAY!!!! Im getting so furious!!!! HELP PLEASE!

The only reason that would happen is if you still have things saved in the Myspace Profile Editor.
Go here, click Clear All, then Save. It should go back to normal.

If you remove everything from your edit profile section...of course the background is going to be gray because every myspace background on every profile will return to the default gray background if you delete everything.
If you want a background, go onto a site like www.codemylayout.com and search for a background you like (or make your own like I do with their profile editor) and then copy and paste the code into your 'About Me' section. Then REMEMBER to click 'Save Changes'
If you want to be doubly sure that your changes are going to show up....click 'Preview Section'. That way you'll be able to see what your changes are going to look like.
