MYSPACE background problems...?

I've been through several sites looking for a good background, and I've found a ton. And I'm doing that all right (coping and pasting the code in "About Me") I know the codes are completely right because I can see my background for a split second, but then it gets covered by a gray default background. So I checked in the profile editor to find the problem, I noticed on the "background color" tab the color was set on gray. So I hit "CLEAR" so it will erase that. I check my profile, and my chosen background will flash and then it will be covered with a gray default background again When I go check in the profile editor, it's back on gray in the background color tab when I had already cleared it and saved it. Anyone know how to make the background color in the profile editor to stay on "CLEAR"? Or anyone who's had this problem have some kind of solution so I can actually see my background?? Any help is appreciated!! THANX!!

OK, the best and easiest thing to do is not to delete the code, but to change the background colour to "transparent".

It's simple to do, go into the edit profile section where the layout code is, and look for something like this: -

%26lt;style type="text/css"%26gt;

body {background-color: transparent;

background-image: url(http://your image.jpg);

background-position: top left ;

background-attachment: fixed;}

etc, etc ...

And change the CSS background colour code (see above).

make sure that any other background codes are deleted, this may cause you to see other backgrounds too...
